HardTracks is in Beta. We are taking on a small number of races this year to test it and make sure it runs well for every runner.

EXAMPLE Every FKT is a story worth telling. What your attempt page looks like. The athlete, Wren Calloway, her crew and her day are made up. The route and every record on it are real.

The story

June is the one who stayed. When Dale could no longer live on his own, she moved back into the house below the dam with her kids and her work laptop and never once said it was hard, though everyone knew it was.

June does not run. She says one of them has to be sensible. But she is the reason Wren can do this at all. She knows Dad's good hours and his bad ones, which songs keep him calm in the car, and that he has to be told about the dam before he sees it so the lights do not surprise him.

On the day she follows the run on her phone. Each time Ash or Teo checks Wren in, June reads it out loud. Davenport Gap. Newfound Gap. Kuwohi. Dad does not always follow, but he likes the names. When the live page says Wren is coming down off the last ridge, June will drive him round to the north end of the dam and walk him out onto the walkway with a blanket and a thermos.

There is a sign on the back seat. It says HOW WAS THE HIGH COUNTRY. She is not sure yet whether she will be able to hold it up.
