Our Data Promise
Your race belongs to you. Here is what we do with your information, in plain words.
We never sell your information. Not your name, email, phone, results or location. Not to anyone.
Sponsors never get your contact details. No sponsor or partner ever receives your email or phone number from us.
Your location is for your race. We show where you are from the taps and check ins made during your race, and the race replay and splits stay with the race afterward. We never track you in the background, and exact GPS points are deleted 90 days after the race.
No ad trackers. We do not put advertising pixels or ad tracking on our pages.
Offers only if you say yes. Perks from our sponsors stay off until you turn them on, and one tap turns them off. Even then, we deliver the offer ourselves. The sponsor never learns who you are.
Sponsors see totals, never people. A sponsor might see how many people watched a race live, but never who. Every number comes from a group of at least 20 people, so no one can be picked out.
Athletes under 18 are protected. They appear by code name or bib, never by name or photo. They never receive offers and are never part of any breakdown we share.
Private things stay private. Medical notes, emergency contacts and the reason someone left a race are never public.
Your history, your call. We may add results from races you have run, which are already public, to your profile. You can hide or remove any of them.
You are in charge. See, fix, download or delete your information any time. Just ask at race@hardtracks.app. Race results stay part of the race record, and minors stay by code name.
If something goes wrong, we tell you. If your information is ever exposed, we will let you know, as the law requires.
A race's runner list stays with that race. We never use a race's runner list to promote other races.
The helpers we use to run HardTracks (texting, email, payments, hosting, and the AI that writes Miles' recaps and cheer notes and reads results you choose to add) only get what they need to do that job, and may not use it for anything else.
