How HardTracks tracks it
- A split is a timing point on the course with a volunteer. Today that volunteer writes times down by hand and nobody sees them until later.
- On HardTracks the split volunteer taps the rider’s plate number on the split link, and the time is on the live page at once.
- RFID chip mats or readers can time any split, where the race has them.
- Riders can CHECK IN from their own phone if they choose.
What fans see
- Each rider’s last split, lap and place in their category.
- The gap to the rider ahead in their category.
- A Race Radar estimate for each rider from their split pace.
What directors get
- Categories and waves, each wave with its own start time.
- Results by category, and enduro stage results with only the stage times counted.
- Cross country laps, endurance laps, enduro stages, or gravel and road with splits from start to finish.
